This morning, we got up at 6am for a sunrise game drive. As we drove east, we saw an amazing African sunrise come over the Serengeti plain. As the sun continued to rise, the plains were filled with golden colors, a truly beautiful sight.
We continued on our drive for another 3 hours or so, but it was pretty uneventful. We did see a small cat that looks like a house cat with big ears. Towards the end of our drive, we headed up to the hippo pool. Here we were able to get out of the car and walk closer to the pool where about 30-4
0 hippos, young and old, were resting in the water, pooping and farting as Justin pointed out continuously.
From there we headed back to the campsite for brunch, packed up our things and headed south back to the Ngorongoro Crater.
We set up camp on the rim of the crater and spent the afternoon admiring the views. Not to mention we got up close and personal with 3 storks and a zebra that were at our campsite. Yes, that is a zebra in the picture with Dominika and our tent (no photoshop). We asked if the animals were placed here for the tourists, but the
assured us that wasn't the case!
